About the project

ABOUT THE LIBRARY
Our little library does a lot in just 741 square feet…

-We are the smallest community library in the NCRL system.
-Our circulation is 5th largest.
-Circulation has increased more than 50% in the last five years.
-The number of patrons visiting the library has increased 47% since 2000

EXPANDING THE TWISP LIBRARY
The project will double the size of the library. The expanded space will include:

1. A “quiet” room housing adult computers, the general collection, and periodicals.

2. A large table and comfortable chairs for study and reading.

3. Children’s and young adult collections separate from adult resources.

4. Expanded sections for new books, DVDs and audiobooks.

5. Wider aisles, better lighting, and specially designed shelves that are easier for older
and disabled patrons to access.

6. A new librarian's station with self-checkout and room for a volunteer to work with the librarian.
